Select® TaloStabil® Plus Ankle Splint

The anatomically moulded knitted splint with silicone pelots optimally cushions and strengthens the ankle joint. Thanks to an additional strap, the joint can be adjusted to lock from the inside or the outside (see picture). The brace is thin, elastic and breathable, making it suitable for sports. A special sleeve is attached to the splint to make it easier to close the splint. First, the foot is inserted into the sleeve and then the splint is pulled through it. Once the splint is in the correct position, the sleeve is pulled out.

Fixation of the outer side of the ankle joint:

1. The tape is attached with a sticker on the back of the lower leg so that its direction is towards the outside of the ankle joint. The tape shall be applied diagonally across the top of the foot.
2. Put the tape over the bottom of the foot.
3. Pull the tape diagonally towards the inner side of the ankle joint.
4. Fix the end of the tape on the back of the calf at the soft Velchro.

Fixation of the inner side of the ankle joint:

1. The tape is attached with a sticker on the back of the lower leg so that its direction is towards the inner side of the ankle joint. The tape shall be applied diagonally across the top of the foot.
2. Put the tape over the bottom of the foot.
3. Pull the tape diagonally towards the outer side of the ankle joint.
4. Fix the end of the tape on the back of the calf at the soft Velchro.

Recommended:

• For swelling caused by arthrosis and arthritis;
• Tendomyopathies;
• Damage to the ligaments, tendons, muscles of the ankle joint or mild instability of the joint;
• After ankle surgery;
• For injury prevention.

Contraindications:

• Peripheral circulatory disorders;
• Lymphatic disorders;
• Reduced tissue sensitivity;
• Local skin diseases;
• Increased sensitivity to raw material components.

Additional instructions:

It is not recommended to wear the splint at night to avoid disturbing blood circulation. It is recommended to remove the splint as soon as possible in case of numbness. It is not recommended to use creams and ointments when using the splint, as they can damage the splint material. The splint is washed with soap and water, drained and left to dry.
