StabiloPro® knee splint with adjustable hinges

The knee brace is made of textile material with adjustable angle hinges that reinforce the knee joint on the medial and lateral sides. The hinges of the splint can be adjusted to the required angle during the course of treatment.

Instructions for use:

Before fitting the splint, determine the correct angle of flexion and extension of the knee joint. Extension may be set^{at 00°} and flexion may be unrestricted. If the knee joint movement angle needs to be limited, then the lateral hinges shall be removed from the splint. The package includes the included adjustable angle parts with angle degrees, 2 screws and a spanner. Once the angles of the lateral hinge have been set, the screws are secured and the hinges are placed back into the splint. To put the splint on, unfasten the Velcro straps and then adjust the splint to the knee joint so that the kneecap is centred in the splint. Once the knee splint is in the correct position, the stickers are fastened and the additional straps are locked in place to ensure that the splint firmly locks the knee joint. The hinges of the splint can be adjusted to the required angle during the treatment.

Recommended:

• After knee injuries;
• In case of inflammation, sprains and tears in ligaments and tendons;
• Haemarthrosis;
• Gonarthrosis;
• After knee surgery.

Contraindications:

• Peripheral circulatory disorders;
• Lymphatic disorders;
• Reduced tissue sensitivity;
• Local skin diseases;
• Hypersensitivity to the components of the splint material.

Further instructions:

It is not recommended to wear the splint at night to avoid impaired blood circulation. Unless your doctor prescribes wearing the splint for a longer period of time. It is recommended to remove the splint as soon as possible in case of numbness. It is not recommended to use creams and/or ointments when using the splint, as they can damage the splint material. The splint is washed with soap and water, drained and left to dry.
