A pulse oximeter is a device that records a patient’s pulse and the oxygen saturation of arterial blood.
PRIM is a portable pulse oximeter for non-invasive determination of functional oxygen saturation in human arterial blood (SpO2) and measurement of pulse rate. This device can be used both at home and in a medical facility, thanks to its small size and integrated fingerprint sensor. The pulse oximeter does not need to be calibrated and works accurately and reliably. Pulse oximetry is based on the absorption of light in tissues (tissue blood vessels), where light is scattered by both arterial and venous haemoglobin in the tissues between the light source and the receiver, using photometric techniques.
In a healthy person, a normal arterial blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) level can range from 94%. up to 99%. For people with mild respiratory disease, the SpO2 can be 90%. and more. If the arterial blood oxygen saturation level falls below 90%, the heart rate will drop to 90%. the person should be supplied with supplementary oxygen.
Having a pulse oximeter device allows you to keep track of your health status.
The PRIM pulse oximeter is CE certified.
